Should an emergency situation arise during our office hours, please call us immediately so that we can get you the special and timely attention that your pet needs. We are just a phone call away – (904)-436-PETS (7387)! If possible, please call in advance to let us know that you are on your way so we are prepared to see your pet once you get there.

 

Should an emergency arise, we are here to provide the following services:

  • Perform emergency examination to assess stability of your family pet

  • Perform in-house laboratory testing – complete blood cell count, blood chemistry (internal organ assessment), electrolytes, thyroid screening

  • Perform additional reference lab testing (if indicated)

  • Placing an IV catheter and administration of IV fluids

  • In-house digital radiographs (x-rays)

  • Consultation with Animal Poison control Center should your pet get into toxic chemicals or human medications

  • Hospitalization with monitoring of heart rate, respiratory rate, pulse oximetry, temperature, pain assessment

  • Emergency surgery, if necessary

  • Facilitate transfer to a 24-hour hospital for overnight hospitalization or more advanced care, when necessary
